In the 1980s, Bulova set its sights on the crown, literally. The Super Seville was their answer to the Rolex Day-Date, complete with a fluted bezel, day-date complication, and unmistakable wrist presence. While the inspiration was clear, Bulova as seen across its other models, brought its own identity to the table. Something that could only be described as a blend of luxury and accessibility that never felt like imitation. At its heart beats a Swiss-made 25-jewel automatic movement which was not only reliable, but also robust, and still running strong decades later. A beautiful gold sunburst dial is accented by diamond indices which helps to add an old touch of refinement without overstepping. The day and date windows sit cleanly beneath the magnifier, functional and sharp, while an original signed screw-down crown and sapphire crystal reinforce the quality beneath the shine. The Super Seville wasn’t trying to be a Rolex, it was Bulova proving it could deliver prestige on its own terms...and decades later, it still does.
