Orbit proven precision with mid-century engineering . Launched in 1962, the Bulova Accutron Astronaut was a tool for mission critical precision. This version, dated to 1968 (as per its date code M8) features a rare white dial often nicknamed the "Model L." Despite the change in dial color, this Astronaut retains the typical dauphine hands, lollipop GMT hand, and rotating steel bezel. Inside hums the famed 214HN tuning fork movement which provides a sweep. That literally could not be replicated by other manufacturers at the time. Further enhancing this astronomical package is its original JB Champion ladder bracelet which also remains in fantastic condition. Truly a bold, functional, and unmistakably space race era watch that wears like a cold war artifact on the wrist.
